Operating Procedures

  1. To operate the fire pit table: 1) Push and turn the control knob to “LOW”. 2) While pressing the control knob, press the igniter button repeatedly to light the burner. 3) Adjust the flame via the control knob.
  2. If the propane tanks for the fire pit or the grill are empty, you'll need to get them refilled yourself if you wish to use them. Propane is available for exchange or refill at Ace Hardware and Walmart.
  3. Beach Gear and Bikes:
    1. The beach gear and bikes are in the outdoor shed in the backyard. 
    2. To open the lock: Enter the code and push the shackle in. To lock: Scramble the code and push the shackle in.
      Be sure to scramble the code before pushing the shackle, otherwise the lock won't secure.
    3. Always lock the bikes, even when you're leaving them for a short time. Unlocked bikes are easily stolen. When you're done, please return the bikes to the shed and make sure to lock the shed.
  4. Golf Cart LSVs:
    1. Operators must be at least 24 years old and hold a valid driver’s license.
    2. Low Speed Vehicles (LSVs) are street legal and may be driven only on roads with speed limits of 35 mph or less.
    3. The cart may not be driven beyond Grayton beach to the east or beyond the end of Highway 30A to the west.
    4. LSVs are not allowed on Highway 98 or pedestrian/bike paths. 
    5. Kids 6 and under must be in car seats.
    6. Seatbelts must be worn at all times.
    7. Seatbelts are the number one reason people get pulled over. And they are out in full force.
    8. Always CHARGE the cart when it’s not in use. 
    9. Guests are responsible for any battery issues resulting from failure to charge the cart.
    10. Parking is very limited at the beach. Many people use the cart as a shuttle for others and their beach stuff. The carts can’t go on the beach as they will get stuck.
